hey

I liked this alot, it had a calm flow and it was very atmospheric. You had your base elements down pat. I was good to listen to the only thing i would of liked better was a stronger bass, but it doesnt really matter. Good job keep it up

I'm glad you enjoyed my song! Ya, this song doesn't have much bass b/c it became distorted when I did have a fair bit of bass, so I kinda had to turn it down to balance everything. Thank you very much for the comment!

hey

Well, id say this was really good, but dude, enough with the presets lol, the melody is from z3ta!!! Well besides that, very good intro, good build up and ery good mastering, keep it up

MattBlair responds:

Yes I did base one of my melodies off of z3ta. But I doubt that gives enough reason to throw the Originality down to 0. Well thanks for the review, glad you liked it.

Hey

Hey, ima give you an honest review, this song starts off REALLY amazing, but the repetitive string just KILLS it, worst of all its not well mastered. NONETHELESS, this song is really good and im gonna tell you my two cents. Sounds VERY proffessional, xept for the little bits of mastering difficulties(which comes with time so who the fuck cares) The style and format of the song is PERFECT, i cant emphasize more than that...i was never let down, XEPT when the woman voice finishes and theres like a breakdown, the melody should have changed to something like a descending scale with the strings, to make a dramatic effect, it was a HUGE let down when the melody justy stayed the same :( Anyways all in all, GREAT song, GREAT energy, this song would go big, all you need is to spend more time on it and get a real woman to sing a whole part for you!!! hehe

Thanks for the honest review. I started this, and my computers went haywire. All I had backed up was a very early version and this file. It would be hard to master it as it is. And Its impossible to edit the song and continue it as I don't have a late enough project file. Which sucks. I've tried recreating it, but people tell me... Its just not the same. And the girl sings on for say 3 more minutes. I just didn't finish it.. Blah blah you know what I mean. Thanks!

Hello

Hey CexPanda! My name is Dj_Seri and im and old dance freak of the portal. I havent submitted in a while, but it doesnt stop me reviewing others.

Now, this had alot going for itself but theres a few things you have to make sure you fix. Your bass is original but it doest fit, cause of the slide it makes it sound off key to the rest of the song; maybe if you made a bassline(change the key of the bass) Another thing would be to take off all the echo/delay you have put(or thats on the premade plugins) Because its crumples up the song and makes static!!

This song is well organized and very well put together. I love the little chimes/bells, they add such awesome atmosphere! And the kick sounds pretty crisp on my headphones :P The only missing would be the changing bassline and it would be a great song! Keep at it its only going uphill from here.

Sincerely

Nicolas

CexPanda responds:

thansks for the review
i made a couple changes.. but not sure how i should go bout reposting it haha.. oh well

hey

Hello Flashburn, i dont review often, for that i appologize. I wil give you a nice long one now :P

1: Starts very well, a good trick to make the kick bass be more "present" in the song is too compress both of them with the compressor in the fx channel and pu their volumes to almost the highest., another trick, is to lower the synth volume, like in the begining, this song would have been sop much more of a punch if the volume of the synth was cut by two. Then the kick bass would have made an impact! which brings me to my second point

2: Add some transitions, in dance, its very hard to make a nice, flowing song. You need so many uplifters, and effects to keep the listener attentive. I suggest you listen to some CT by Rob Mayth. He is Incredible. Youll understand what i mean afterwards. Be original when u use your drums.

3: Avoid repetition, a REALLY good trick, which ive picked up from tune up and cascada is to double your synth after a few runs, add another instrument that compliments the synth. That eliminates the repetition, even if its the same notes again. Also, you can easily avoid repetition by copy pasting your synth and modifying little things.

This was VERY well mstered, in my opinion(my speakers are strong ty very much :P) and it had a very good structure. If you spend more time on your songs to work on the three aspects ive mentioned, youll see you will be able to show your true potential. i spend up to 1 month on my songs now, although they are too big for ng, i dont really care anymore, i hate being limited. ou should break the habbit of creating for ng. If you want any tips or help or whatever, add me on msn, ill bne more than happy to anwser your questions. We can collab too if you want.

Anyways. Lol ill leave you at that, i dont want to give you any of my secrets...not in this review anyways lol

Peace

Flashburn responds:

wow this is the best review ive ever had...
Im gonna study pretty much everything you said for my next song

thanks so much

ps im so adding u to msn

lol

well, unfortunetly for you i own zeta also lol, well, taking a premade zeta instrument + the original arp which is one of the 200 premade ones is kind alame BUT ive done it too, besides zeta is hard to learn. Anyways, i wont judge you on that :P its a cool song.

ZellBot responds:

Tehe, Well i admit my failure, but i didnt see it as a crime O.O

Thanks !

ok

This is much better, diversity is well on the right hand, although it could have been stonger on the left. But this isnt a live recording bcause its humaly impossible to play like that ALL way through...anyways, i would to play this myself and spruce it up with my own little touch, as you know im a pianist lol. So, maybe you can send this to me through msn?!?

Dj_Seri(d_j_s_e_r_i@hotmail.com)

Codyclause responds:

No, it's not a live recording. I do play the piano too.

I taught myself to play the piano, so alot of what I play is of my own composition. I have always had a hard time with my left hand. I would like to take lessons, but money is an issue.

I will send you the .mp3 though.

cool

you seem to have a nack for mastering good job it was good. Samples werent my fav though. Could of been less repetitive though.. this is more like idustrial to me.
